2. China has crossed its 1960 claims along the LAC
During boundary negotiations in 1960 between India and China, China spelled out its territorial claims in the area. Now, the Chinese PLA troops at Pangong Tso and Galwan Valley are now beyond Beijing’s own territorial claims. The 1960 records contradict China’s current claims of where the Line of Actual Control (LAC) runs. The record is available in the “Report of the Officials of the Government of India and the People’s Republic of China on the Boundary Question”, published by the Ministry of External Affairs.
